Basketball Recap: KIPP Bold City Victorious

KIPP Bold City hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost five straight) but thanks in part to Raniya Lawson that streak is no more. The KIPP Bold City Greyhounds took down the Global Outreach Charter Academy Kodiaks 57-42 on Wednesday thanks in part to Lawson, who posted 32 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Global Outreach Charter Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Quetiushka Rivera and Azirah Phillips. Rivera scored 20 points, while Phillips earned 15 points.

KIPP Bold City's victory bumped their record up to 2-13. As for Global Outreach Charter Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-17 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.

KIPP Bold City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Raines on the 30th. As for Global Outreach Charter Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-19 win against St. Johns Classical Academy on the 30th.
