The Sparrows Point Pointers had already won three in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They came out on top against Carver A&T by a score of 48-39. That's another feather in the cap for Sparrows Point, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the defeat, Carver A&T saw an underclassman step up: Elisah Guity scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Carrington, who scored 11 points.
Sparrows Point's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Carver A&T, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sparrows Point will take on Owings Mills at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Owings Mills is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Carver A&T, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lansdowne at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
