The home team had won the previous three meetings between Caldera and Ridgeview, and Caldera kept the tradition alive. Caldera was the clear victor by a 17-2 margin over Ridgeview on Wednesday. Considering Caldera has won 13 contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Brooke Chapin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.
