The Teague Lions have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They took down Rice 59-42 on Wednesday. That's another feather in the cap for Teague, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Teague was led to victory by Jkybryen Harris and Jehmel Rice. Harris scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Rice dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Rice's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tylin Randle, who scored 12 points.
Teague's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Rice, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.
Teague won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Italy at 3:00 p.m. on December 28, 2023. As for Rice, they will head out on the road to face off against Eustace at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eustace is on a three-game streak of home losses, Rice a seven-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
