Basketball Recap: Schlarman Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Schlarman's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 73-55 win over the St. Thomas More Sabers. The Hilltoppers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Schlarman was led to victory by Noah Fowler and Peyton Kuemmerle. Fowler almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards, while Kuemmerle made all 7 shots he took racking up 22 points. The dominant performance gave Fowler a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerrius Atkison, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Schlarman's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for St. Thomas More, they now also have a losing record at 2-3.

Schlarman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-56 win against Attica on the 7th. As for St. Thomas More, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-32 loss against Oakwood on the 10th.
