The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Luther Prep in their matchups with Lake Country Lutheran: they've now lost eight in a row.
Lake Country Lutheran's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Cleary led the charge by dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cleary has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Carter Leibham, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Luther Prep's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Lake Country Lutheran, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Luther Prep will head out on the road to face off against Lake Mills at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lake Mills will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Lake Country Lutheran won't have much time to rest: their next match is against New Berlin Eisenhower at 9:00 a.m. on January 20th.
