Ryan will challenge Wilson on the road at 7:30 PM on Friday. Ryan are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
In almost any game, 74 points would all but guarantee a win. Not in this one. Ryan managed a somewhat close 78-74 victory over Bray-Doyle. Ryan found their leader in underclassman sophomore Grayson Tomberlin, who picked up 273 yards on the ground and threw 4 TDs. In fact, with 11 tackles Tomberlin was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, if Wilson were riding high off their 40-6 takedown of Central two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Last Thursday, Wilson lost to Empire by a decisive 12-28 margin.
Ryan's win lifted them to 5-3 while Wilson's defeat dropped them down to 6-2. We'll find out if Ryan can add another positive mark to their record or if Wilson can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Ryan's step.
