The Citrus Valley Blackhawks will head out on the road to square off against the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Citrus Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Last Friday, Citrus Valley made easy work of Serrano and carried off a 16-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blackhawks.
Cali Leverette tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. She also put up three hits, which were her first of the season.

Citrus Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Serrano only posted an OBP of .310.
Meanwhile, Rancho Cucamonga suffered their biggest loss since February 26th on Monday. They came up short against Yucaipa, falling 15-3. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Thunderbirds recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Rancho Cucamonga saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jemma Wright, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.
Rancho Cucamonga's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Citrus Valley, their record is now 9-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Citrus Valley has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rancho Cucamonga struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
