Pewitt's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keidrick Hawkins, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Hawkins scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wooda Betts, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Bowie's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Pewitt, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Bowie will be playing in front of their home fans against McLeod at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. McLeod will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. As for Pewitt, they will square off against Rivercrest at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday.
