The Jackson Aggies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 31 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat McIntosh 60-19 on the road. Jackson is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 12 straight.
Jackson found their leader in underclassman Angel Powell, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. The game was Powell's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Jazmine Jones was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six assists and four steals.
Jackson's victory was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.88 points. As for McIntosh, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Jackson will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Murphy at 2:00 p.m. on December 28, 2023. Murphy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Jackson is ranked 44th). McIntosh will finish 2023 at home by hosting Leroy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
