The Chatham Central Bears waltzed into Wednesday's match with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Triangle Math & Science, posting a 68-31 win on the road. That's another feather in the cap for Chatham Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Reid Albright had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Chatham Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Gilliland, who scored 9 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Ayman Idrissi and Adam Adan certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Idrissi scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds, while Adan scored 8 points.
Chatham Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Triangle Math & Science, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chatham Central and Western Harnett will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Western Harnett is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Triangle Math & Science, they will be playing at home against NCSSM: Durham at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
