Westminster Christian Academy and the Ouachita Christian Eagles squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly Westminster Christian Academy had to settle for second. Westminster Christian Academy was outmatched by Ouachita Christian on the road and fell 56-7. Westminster Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-0.
Ouachita Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Vidrine out in front who threw for 269 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes. Tate Hamby was another key contributor, picking up 138 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Westminster Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Ouachita Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Westminster Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ouachita Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Ouachita Christian is ranked 32nd).
