With a playoff win on the line, Chaska rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 74-62 victory over the Chanhassen Storm. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Chanhassen's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kate Arnold, who posted 25 points and three steals. Arnold has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyla Hentges, who shot 44% from the field on her way to 18 points.
Chaska's win bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Chanhassen, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.
