The Chaparral Roadrunners had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They snuck past Trinity with a 39-35 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Chaparral, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Chaparral's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0. As for Trinity, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing El Dorado the next time they take the court. Chaparral will host El Dorado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Trinity will head out to face them on Thursday.
