The Hale Ray Noises scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They managed a 53-47 victory over Derby. The win was familiar territory for Hale Ray who now have three in a row.
Despite the loss, Derby saw an underclassman step up: Shea Gray dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. Gray scored a full 59.6% of Derby's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Hale Ray back to even at 3-3. As for Derby, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6.
Hale Ray will be playing at home against Coginchaug Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Derby, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodland Regional on Wednesday. Woodland Regional has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-1 during that stretch of close contests.
