Despite the defeat, Trinity Prep had strong showings from Tabitha Gunning, who had 11 aces and six digs, and Chloe Sanchez, who had eight aces and four digs. Gunning is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Lilanny Reyes- Mendoza was another key player, getting five aces and four digs.
Meanwhile, Elite came up short against Leroy Greene Academy on Monday, falling 3-0. The Eagles have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
The final score came out to 25-3, 25-15, 25-7.
Trinity Prep's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Elite, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
