The Fulton Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the St. Patrick Shamrocks at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Fulton fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Carson City-Crystal by a score of 36-28 on Friday.
Meanwhile, St. Patrick entered their tilt with St. Charles with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. St. Patrick claimed a resounding 53-16 victory over St. Charles at home. The result was nothing new for St. Patrick, who have now won five matches by 23 points or more so far this season.
St. Patrick found their leader in underclassman Brady Leonard, who rushed for 207 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for ten yards and two touchdowns. Leonard was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Brayden Simon was in the mix as well, providing St. Patrick with two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Fulton to 6-3 and St. Patrick to 8-1.
Fulton couldn't quite finish off St. Patrick in their previous meeting on October 7th and fell 37-34. Can Fulton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
