Hope Christian came out on top against Bernalillo on Friday thanks in part to Jacob Gergen's efforts. Gergen was unstoppable, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
