The Central Catholic Fighting Irish's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 62-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rossview. While losing is never fun, Central Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 265th in Ohio, while Rossview is ranked 57th in Tennessee).
Rossview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Edwards, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The match was Edwards' 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Hankemeier, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Central Catholic has fallen quite a ways from their 20-5 record last season and are now at 1-4. As for Rossview, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
