 On Life Christian Academy's side,  Gavin Spiegel was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   one  hit. Spiegel was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news, Life Christian Academy let  Conner Gaster and  Brandon Dorin loose on the outfield. Gaster  scored two  runs while going 4-for-5, while  Dorin  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.  Andre Hayden was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases.
 Peninsula Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Life Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.
 Peninsula Catholic will play host again  on Tuesday to welcome Cape Henry Collegiate, where first pitch is scheduled  at 4:00  p.m. Cape Henry Collegiate is coming into the  contest with seven straight  victories on the road,  so Peninsula Catholic will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum. As for Life Christian Academy, they will  challenge Christchurch School at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
