Union City was successful in their previous meeting against Dickinson, and they didn't afford Dickinson any payback this time around. The Soaring eagles were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Dickinson 62-6. The success made it back-to-back wins for the Soaring eagles.
The Soaring eagles started the contest off right with 55 first-half points. Meanwhile, the Rams couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 55 to nothing heading into the break. The Union City defense was impenetrable in the third quarter, shutting them out and essentially clinching the game.
Zahir Abdus-Salaam had a stellar game for the Soaring eagles as he rushed for 162 yards and two TDs on seven carries. That makes it nine straight good games from Abdus-Salaam. Jarred Montoya also deserves a shout-out for his two TDs.
Union City's victory brought them up to 5-4. Dickinson still hasn't won a matchup and fell to 0-8.
Union City will take on Ridge at 7 p.m. ET on Friday. Union City will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
