The Liberty Christian Warriors will face off against the Parish Episcopal Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Liberty Christian put up the most runs they have all season on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Nolan Catholic a 20-0 shutout. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Makenzie Byler was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Byler was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles and four RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Liberty Christian let Avery Combest and Paige Childers run wild. Combest fired off four runs, four doubles, and two RBI while going 4-for-4, while Childers went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those four doubles gave Combest a new career-high. Faith Ford was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Liberty Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .844. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Parish Episcopal hadn't done well against Trinity Christian recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trojans, sneaking past 10-8. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Olivia Waterhouse made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Claire Cohen was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Groen, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Liberty Christian has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Parish Episcopal, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Parish Episcopal's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Liberty Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .500. It's a different story for Parish Episcopal, though, as they've only averaged .253. Will they be able to contain Liberty Christian's hitters?
Liberty Christian took their victory against Parish Episcopal in their previous matchup last Friday by a conclusive 11-0 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
