If the Mountain View Cougars were riding high off their 71-51 takedown of the Thurston Colts on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Mountain View had to suffer through a rough 73-43 loss at the hands of North Eugene. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mountain View has scored all season.
North Eugene's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from India Mohiuddin, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Banry, who scored 14 points along with six assists.
Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for North Eugene, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Mountain View will head out on the road to face off against Roseburg at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. North Eugene will be home for the holidays to greet Caldera at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Caldera will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings (they are ranked 95th, while North Eugene is ranked 20th).
