AA Region III recap Oct. 30, 2012
Fairfield Central extended the longest winning streak in AA Region III this week by beating North Central, 57-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Columbia and Eau Claire played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Columbia eventually emerging with a 27-21 victory.
The Knights' Grayson King and Anthony Spinelli have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. King has thrown for 1493 yards this season, while Spinelli has 35 catches for 663 yards. Peter Easaw from Keenan leads the league in rushing with 1016 yards.
A big matchup in AA Region III this week will be when the Raiders take on the Shamrocks. Keenan is currently in second, while Eau Claire is in sixth.
Mitchell Moton's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,996 from 9,271. The advance stemmed from a 39-21 victory over Pelion last week.
