Baseball Recap: Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Has No Trouble Against Eau Claire

While Our Lady of the Lake Catholic put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Eau Claire. The Lakers were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Beavers. Considering the Lakers have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bradyn Harper was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Our Lady of the Lake Catholic is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 5-12 otherwise. Harper was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Dylan Sargent was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Evan Watts was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Our Lady of the Lake Catholic and bumps their season record up to 8-12. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Eau Claire, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
