Even though the Ridgeview Wolf Pack scored an imposing 59 points on Wednesday, the Independence Falcons still came out on top. Independence snuck past Ridgeview with a 63-59 win. That's another feather in the cap for Independence, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Independence's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was AMARIUS "AR" ROWEL, who scored 20 points along with six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of JAMES TANNER, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Independence is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Ridgeview, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 11-9.
Independence will head out on the road to square off against San Luis Obispo at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ridgeview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bakersfield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bakersfield is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
