There's no place like home for Southridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Walla Walla Blue Devils on Tuesday as they made off with a 12-1 win. The Suns might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.
Avery Garvey was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Southridge let Anna Marty and Jadyn Holdren run wild. Marty went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Holdren got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Those two hits gave Marty a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylinn Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run.
