Lakeside is 0-3 against Hanover since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Lakeside Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hanover Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Lakeside has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 178 points over their last four matchups.
Lakeside can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pike Valley 46-0 on the road.
Ian Kresin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 137 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. Kresin is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Mccoy, who rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Lakeside's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Gabe Smith and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Hanover took a serious blow against Frankfort on Friday, falling 62-14.
Lakeside's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Pike Valley, Wakefield, and St. John's/Tipton Catholic. As for Hanover, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Lakeside was taken down by Hanover 62-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Lakeside have more luck at home instead of on the road?
