Meanwhile, Southeast waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with 17 straight wins... but they left with 18. They had just enough and edged the Bobcats out 3-2.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Southeast who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 22-25, 26-24, 19-25, 15-9.
Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Southeast, their victory bumped their record up to 25-4.
