Sam Houston's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylan Austin, who scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Austin has scored at least 25% of Sam Houston's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Chavez, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds.
Sam Houston's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for South San Antonio West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sam Houston will take on Mansfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South San Antonio West, they will be playing at home against Fox Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fox Tech has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 236 points over their last four contests.
