The Calvary Chapel Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 82-49 loss at the hands of Valley View.
Valley View was led to victory by Maurice Lynch and Charles Knight. Lynch scored 15 points along with seven assists and six rebounds, while Knight scored 33 points along with four steals. The contest was Knight's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalyn Talbert, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Calvary Chapel's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Valley View, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Chapel will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Saddleback at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th. Saddleback will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1201st, while Calvary Chapel is ranked 436th). As for Valley View, they will head out on the road to face off against Temescal Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
