The Nueva School Mavericks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mountain View Academy Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
The Nueva School couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 70-53 to Crystal Springs Uplands.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Mountain View Academy sidestepped Varsity Opponent for a 54-51 victory.
Mountain View Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Penaflorida out in front who scored 14 points along with 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Malo, who scored 12 points along with 4 steals.
The Nueva School's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Mountain View Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
