A Season-Best Effort from Mark Cox Leads St. Johns over San Carlos
St. Johns was led to victory by Mark Cox, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Cox rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made six total tackles (1.0 for loss).
The win got St. Johns back to even at 3-3. Cox will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Miami on Friday.

Unfortunately for Alchesay, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Castaneda. Castaneda threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes, and also rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Falcons duked it out back in September of 2023.

Another Game with at Least 139 Rushing Yards from Jeremiah Martinez
Jeremiah Martinez produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Pima to the win on Friday. Martinez's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 139 rushing yards dating back to last season. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards.
Pima pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Martinez and Pima will take on Scottsdale Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sam Winters Turns in Season-Best Effort
St. Johns was led to victory by Sam Winters, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Winters rushed for 85 yards and three touchdowns.
For the year, Winters has averaged 17.8 receiving yards per game.

Aiden Bejarano Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Globe got the W thanks in part to Aiden Bejarano playing the best football he has all season. Bejarano rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The win snapped Globe's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-5 record. Bejarano and Globe will take on ALA - Anthem South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
