They had to suffer through a rough 58-12 loss at the hands of ED White. Englewood has not had much luck with ED White recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
ED White's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Falisa White, who scored ten points along with nine assists and seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that White posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Kyra Jackson, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Englewood's loss was their 13th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.2 points per game. As for ED White, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Englewood won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Baldwin at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Baldwin has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for ED White, they will head out on the road to square off against Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
