High school girls basketball: CIF Central Section playoff brackets

Undefeated squads Clovis West and Caruthers lead the Open Division field.

Fifthy-two teams in six divisions will take part in the 2021 Central Section girls basketball playoffs which begin Tuesday and concludes June 10.

The four-team Open Division features two undefeated teams, top-seed Clovis West-Fresno (17-0), which hosts fourth-seed Arroyo Grande (13-2), and second-seed Caruthers (19-0), which hosts No. 3 Clovis (10-4) in first-round play on Thursday. The winners on June 10 for the championship.

All four Open teams will advance to Southern California regional action, which takes place June 14-19. For the second straight year, there will be no California Interscholastic Federation State Championship games played due to the pandemic.

The top seeds in the other divisions are Buchanan-Clovis (Division 1, 11-7 record), Ridgeview-Bakersfield (Division II, 7-3), Roosevelt-Fresno (Division 3, 16-1), Orcutt Academy (Division IV, 7-5) and Strathmore (Division V, 15-6).
