Eagle Point is 1-9 against Churchill since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eagle Point Eagles will be playing at home against the Churchill Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, Eagle Point suffered a rough 67-43 defeat at the hands of North Eugene. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eagle Point in their matchups with North Eugene: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Churchill pushed their score all the way to 68 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Roseburg by a score of 70-68. While losing is never fun, Churchill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while Roseburg is ranked 41st).
Eagle Point's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Churchill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
