Davis has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Farmington Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Davis earned a 64-52 victory over Syracuse.
Davis relied on the efforts of Ike Morgan, who scored 13 points along with three steals, and Coleman Atwater, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Atwater has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jt Turley, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Farmington faced Layton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Farmington fell to Layton 81-77. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Farmington in their matchups with Layton: they've now lost three in a row.
Davis is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Farmington, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
Davis came up short against Farmington in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 70-59. Can Davis avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
