Among those leading the charge was Kenna Soulek, who had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six contests.
They weren't the only good servers: Mitchell was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spearfish only served four.
Harrisburg won the last time they faced Sturgis Brown and Lindsay Langner did her part to make sure it happened again. The Tigers put the hurt on the Scoopers with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday with plenty of help from Langner, who had ten digs and three aces. Soulek is also on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Harrisburg took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-11, 25-8.
Mitchell's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Harrisburg, their win bumped their record up to 32-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Mitchell has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Harrisburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
