On Saturday, the Sports Leadership & Management Bulls faced the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Sports Leadership & Management was beaten by Desert Oasis 59-23.
Desert Oasis found their leader in underclassman Mia Baskerville, who scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Baskerville has scored at least 25% of Desert Oasis' points. Alyssa Atkins-Dowd was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Sports Leadership & Management's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Desert Oasis, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Sports Leadership & Management will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Somerset Academy Losee at 6:30 p.m. on November 27th. As for Desert Oasis, they will square off against Durango at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Durango is ranked 13th, while Desert Oasis is ranked ninth).
