South County has gone 8-2 against West Potomac recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The South County Stallions will head out to  challenge the West Potomac Wolverines  at 7:00  p.m.
 Last Saturday, South County came up short against Lake Braddock  and fell  22-14. The Stallions gained 58 more yards on the day, but it was the Bruins that made the best use of them.
 Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from  Nicholas Simay, who rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 186 yards  while completing 72% of his passes. A healthy portion of that aerial production (88 yards to be exact)  went to  Trevion Campbell.
 Meanwhile, West Potomac never let their opponents score on Saturday. They blew past Woodson, posting  a  44-0 win. The  matchup marked the Wolverines' most dominant  victory of the season.
 West Potomac's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Ben Knapp, who threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes. Another player making a difference was  Darius Childs, who picked up 134 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 The  victory was  the third in a row for West Potomac, bringing their record for this year to 4-5. Those good results were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.0 points per game. As for South County, they now also have a losing record at 4-5.
 South County didn't have too much breathing room in their  match against West Potomac  when the teams last played  back in November of 2023, but they still walked away with  a  22-18 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for South County since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
