Basketball Recap: St. Andrew's Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Coco Carnahan and Addison Yates

St. Andrew lost against Frederica Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The matchup between the St. Andrew's Lions and Frederica Academy didn't end well, with the St. Andrew's Lions falling 51-35. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while Frederica Academy are ranked 97th).

St. Andrew's loss came despite strong showings from Addison Yates and Coco Carnahan. Yates went 5 for 11 en route to 14 points, while Carnahan almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. That's the most points Yates has posted since back in November of 2023.

St. Andrew's has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Frederica Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

St. Andrew's didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-26 defeat against Bulloch Academy on the 5th. As for Frederica Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-50 loss against Westminster Schools of Augusta on the 6th.
