Lodi's Emmanuel Appiah recorded the longest rushing play in North Jersey - Colonial this season in his game against New Milford last week. Appiah ran for 91 yards on the play and finished with 251 on the day as his team beat the Knights.
Lodi added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating New Milford, 28-17. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Rutherford's dynamic duo of Tom Reid and Quamel Pope proved to be unstoppable against Garfield, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Reid threw for 116 yards and 1 touchdown and Pope had 40 yards receiving. David Walker helped Rutherford's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 44 yards.
Appiah was a passing and rushing force as the Rams defeated Bill Wilde's team. He completed 4 passes for 70 yards and also ran for 251 yards. Appiah's favorite target this week was Tommy Potoczak, who caught 2 passes for 31 yards.
Appiah was a beast in the backfield as Lodi topped the Knights.
Elmwood Park's Mike Dare and Brandon Velez led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-6 quarterback Dare has thrown for 1,714 yards this season, while Velez has 41 catches for 712 yards. The Rams' Appiah leads the league in rushing yards with 1,028.
Potoczak of the Lodi is only 34 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 88 carries Potoczak has accumulated 966 yard this year.
The Bulldogs fell to the Boilermakers 46-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Walker ran for 125 yards and caught 4 passes for 44 yards in the defeat.
