The Lawrence North Wildcats put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 78-53 margin over Franklin Central. Lawrence North has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lawrence North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brennan Miller, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Mcgrew, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Several Flashes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was EJ Hazelett, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Josh Moriarty, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Lawrence North's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. As for Franklin Central, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrence North's road trip will continue as they head out to face North Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (North Central is ranked tenth, while Lawrence North is ranked third). As for Franklin Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Noblesville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Noblesville is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.
