Adamson is 0-7 against Jefferson since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Adamson Leopards will head out on the road to face off against the Jefferson Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Adamson is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Friday, Adamson ended up a good deal behind Adams and lost 35-17.
Meanwhile, Jefferson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by White 80-6. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jefferson in their matchups with White: they've now lost nine in a row.
Layla Carr was Jefferson's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Melissa Azpeitia held things down on the boards with four rebounds. Azpeitia took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with a assist.
The last time Adamson won on the road was back back in November. Having now lost four straight away matchups, they've bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Jefferson, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Adamson came up short against Jefferson when the teams last played back in January, falling 30-20. Can Adamson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
