The Hanna Golden Eagles lost against the Edinburg North Cougars back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Hanna was dealt a 53-25 loss at the hands of Edinburg North. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hanna has scored all season.
Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jesus Leal, who scored seven points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Leal has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Beto Galarza, who scored six points.
This is the second loss in a row for Hanna and nudges their season record down to 13-8. As for Edinburg North, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
Hanna will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against St. Joseph Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. St. Joseph Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.2 points per game. Edinburg North will be home for the holidays to greet San Perlita at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. San Perlita will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 907th, while Edinburg North is ranked 359th).
