The Shawe Memorial Hilltoppers will head out on the road to challenge the Columbus Christian Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Shawe Memorial's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
Shawe Memorial pushed their score all the way to 67 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 81-67 bruising from Lanesville.
Meanwhile, Columbus Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Community Christian 60-54.
Shawe Memorial now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Columbus Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.
Shawe Memorial barely slipped by the Crusaders when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 68-67. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shawe Memorial since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
