Tampa Prep gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 73-33 win over Cypress Creek. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-23.
Chandler White Brooks was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Ben Jackson, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Jefferson strolled past East Bay with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 65-51.
Lazzaro Ford had a dynamite game for Jefferson, scoring 29 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ford has scored at least 25% of Jefferson's points. Camari Bell was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Tampa Prep's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
