The Havre de Grace Warriors lost against the Rising Sun Tigers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The matchup between Havre de Grace and Rising Sun wasn't particularly close, with Havre de Grace falling 47-33.
Despite the loss, Havre de Grace had strong showings from Azareya Whiting, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Natalie Burton, who scored eight points. Whiting is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Havre de Grace dropped their record down to 10-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.0 points per game. As for Rising Sun, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.
Havre de Grace will square off against Patterson Mill at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Patterson Mill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Monday. As for Rising Sun, they will be playing at home against Perryville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
