The Liberty HomeSchool Alliance Arrows fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Altoona-Midway Jets on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Jets by a score of 66-63. Liberty HomeSchool Alliance was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Altoona-Midway apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Leading Altoona-Midway to victory were Jacob Meigs and William Stackhouse. Meigs scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Stackhouse dropped a double-double on 38 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stackhouse has scored all season.
Liberty HomeSchool Alliance's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Altoona-Midway, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Liberty HomeSchool Alliance will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Chetopa at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. Chetopa comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Altoona-Midway, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Tyro Christian at 7:30 p.m. Tyro Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Altoona-Midway likes a good challenge.
