Harbor Beach moved up to 193 from 257 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Greater Thumb - East. The Pirates climbed the ranks as a result of a 56-16 win over Brown City.
Ubly extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Marion, 52-22. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Sandusky's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Mark Dreyer threw for 126 and two touchdowns and Jared Wagester had 106 yards receiving. On the ground Bobby Rich chipped in 119 yards. Jacob Lasecki helped Sandusky's passing attack out by catching one ball for 20 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Joey Hagemann of Memphis is the league leader in passing yards this season with 426. He has also thrown two touchdowns. On the ground, the Redskins' Gage Frank has rushed for 607 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Wagester. The Sandusky star has 10 catches for 300 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Harbor Beach takes on Ubly. Troy Schelke's team has allowed 80 points this season, while Dave Kaufman's team has given up 100.
The Pirates made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,406 from 7,115. The improvement was the result of 56-16 victory over the Green Devils last week.
